About Dante Casting

Dante Casting is the artistic practice of Richard Tozer, a self-taught, self-expressive artist based in Kent, delivering work internationally. His practice explores form, symbolism, and material contrast through lifestyle casting, resin works, and mixed-media compositions that challenge how objects, bodies, and meaning are preserved and presented.

At the core of Dante Casting is the act of transformation. Everyday elements are captured, cast, reframed, and recontextualised—becoming lasting artefacts that sit somewhere between fine art, design, and personal narrative. Through resin casting and experimental framing methods, each piece holds both presence and absence: what is seen, what is implied, and what is remembered.

Richard’s work moves fluidly between strongly symbolic pieces and more playful, fun compositions, allowing space for both depth and lightness within the same body of work. Some pieces invite quiet reflection, others provoke curiosity or joy—but all are rooted in intentional craftsmanship and conceptual clarity. The variation in backboards, materials, and framing is not decorative, but integral to the story each work tells.

Unbound by formal training, Richard’s practice is guided by instinct, experimentation, and emotional honesty. This freedom allows Dante Casting to exist outside rigid definitions, embracing an evolving visual language shaped by material, process, and personal expression rather than convention.

Dante Casting works with collectors, galleries, interior designers, brands, and private clients, offering original artworks as well as commissioned pieces. Collaborations and bespoke projects are welcomed, with each commission approached as a unique dialogue between concept, material, and space.
